Under observation. Art of retreat
In the context of an increasingly transparent society, the KulturRegion Stuttgart examines the border between private and public. In a region-wide festival from September 25 to October 18, 2020, the works of art were staged as a multifaceted thematic field.

National and international artists from various fields interpreted works of art in the 21 participating municipalities on the themes of surveillance in public space, data storage and data theft, social media and permanent availability as well as strategies of retreat. Our eye, which was developed for this purpose, always had the view of both the art and the visitor.
